Durham University, located overseas in England, will be offering an optional learning course centered around the seven Harry Potter books.
"We seek to place the series in its wider social and cultural context and will explore some fundamental issues such as the moral universe of the school," stated the head of the university's department of education.
The course is currently titled:
"Harry Potter and the Age of Illusion".
"You just need to read the academic writing which started to emerge four or five years ago to see that Harry Potter is worthy of serious study," finished Martin Richardson, the mentioned head of education.
The course is scheduled to begin this fall.
