Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two trailer now avaliable on our blog!

Here is the official teaser trailer for the final Harry Potter film,
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two",
due out in theaters on July 15th.

It is a great trailer, and we highly recommend watching it.
(But there seems to be at least two cheesy lines by Harry
during the trailer, so viewer beware.)

Look for a full and complete review on the next episode
of our Harry Potter podcast, PhoenixCast, inspired
by the work on this blog! Our review show should be out
in itunes in just a few minutes, and we'll put this special episode
on this blog for download sometime tomorrow!

Harry Potter teaser trailer to be released on itunes tomorrow, as it apears on ABC Family!

I can now confirm, thanks to the official Harry Potter twitter page,
that the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 teaser trailer
will be available for download on itunes right minutes,
after it is first shown on ABC Family.

And itunes isn't usually known for holding some regular advertising nonsense.
The fact that Apple will be offering the teaser trailer on itunes, means that
it WILL actually be a trailer for the film, not some cheap 30 second ad.

Watch ABC Family tomorrow to find out, and keep an eye out for our
next episode of PhoenixCast, our Harry Potter podcast,
due out sometime tomorrow, or on Thursday!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 teaser trailer to premiere on April 27th!

Thanks to a recent press release issued by ABC Family, through their website,
ABCFamily.com, we now know that some sort of teaser trailer for the final
Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two",
will premiere on TV screens on Wednesday, April 27th!

ABC Family's press release confirmed this by saying:
"The premiere of the new trailer will give fans a glimpse
at the epic finale of the “Harry Potter” film series,
including moments from such scenes as
    •  Harry, Ron and Hermione escaping from Gringotts bank,
    • the Room of Requirement fire storm,
    • Mrs. Weasley taking on Bellatrix Lestrange,
    • Harry and Voldemort’s last stand.

To get fans ready for the trailer, ABCFamily.com will be releasing one exclusive
new photo from “Harry Potter™ and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2”
in support of the trailer’s premiere on ABC Family."

First Harry Potter 8 video game trailer released!

Yesterday, we noticed that Entertainment Weekly had put this game trailer
of the final Harry Potter game, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2",
on their website, but wouldn't let fans embed it onto their own websites.

Thanks to another Harry Potter fansite, mugglenet.com,
the video was soon put on YouTube.com,
where we managed to get a copy to bring over to
The Order of the Phoenix News Network!
You can watch it here, or at the larger version at
the bottom of our blogpage! Enjoy!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One to be re-released on Blu-Ray, with 3-D!

This video, courtesy of MTV.com, shows current Harry Potter director David Heyman, and Producer David Baron talking about the 3-D adaption of the final Harry Potter film,
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two".

It also appears that we might be seeing the previous films,
"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix",
"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince",
and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One",
re-released on Blu-Ray, in 3-D sometime in the very near future.
It was said in the video that the Warner Bros. team is pushing
to get these newly converted Harry Potter films out soon,
likely before it all ends on July 15th.

For now, there has been no set release date,
but Harry Potter is on its way to becoming a 3-D film series.

Entertainment Weekly leaks new picture from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2!

    Thanks to the popular magazine
    Entertainment Weekly, Harry Potter fans
    now have another movie snapshot
from the eigth and final Harry Potter film:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

(SPOILER!) I think it's fair to say that this might be
a picture of when Harry tries to steal a horcrux
from inside a bank vault, gaurded by an irritated, fire-breathing, dragon.

You can enlarge the picture by double-clicking it. Enjoy it while it lasts,
because Warner Bros. may try to take this pic off the internet.
We'll keep it up on our site as long as we can, however.

The Order of the Phoenix Network just passed 5,000 views in only 10 months!

all the views pouring in from all over the world.

    Africa, Europe, and Australia.

that Harry Potter has not "died out".
                          Thank You.

Harry Potter cast Q&A discussions from the NYC Apple Store event now online!

Just about two weeks ago, Harry Potter movie stars got together
to celebrate the premiere of Harry Potter: The Exhibition's newest stop:
New York City. The event also celebrated the upcoming release of
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Many of the actors held a Q&A event, and answered many questions
asked by fans that had come to see them.

Video recordings of the 3 individual Q&As, each with about
5-10 Harry Potter actors, all of whom seem happy to be there,
can be found and downloaded via itunes.
You can use this link to find more information on the videos.
Each video is about 10 minutes long.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 videogame coming out on July 12th?

We have good reason to believe that the final Harry Potter movie-based video game,
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2", will be released into stores on
July 12th, 2011, just three days before the movie itself is released in theaters.

For now, this is unproven and unofficial, but I know pretty well how Warner Bros.
handles this kind of thing, and that leads me to believe that the official game
will be released this close to the movie to prevent people from revealing
too much about the film online before the film is officially released on July 15th.

I look forward to seeing if I was indeed right or not.
For now though, consider this a mere rumor.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows; Part 2 movie trailer coming May 6th?

I have, I think, after much research, discovered the release date for the
official movie teaser trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2!

Warner Bros. will want to put a trailer out to the general audience
about 2-3 months prior to the film's actual release date.

So, we're looking at either the last week of April, or the first week of May.
On May 6th, Marvel Studios, now owned by Disney,
will be releasing their newest superhero-based film, Thor.
Rated PG-13, this is definitely a candidate for
the Harry Potter 8 trailer to premiere with.

Thor, being only 70 days before Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,
would be a good choice. Good, but not great. And 70 days is just enough time
for everyone to get ready for the grand finale of the Harry Potter movie series.
Since our first and only previous choice for the trailer, "Sucker Punch",
was proven wrong, we now put our money (not for real!) behind Thor.

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 coming out Winter 2011?

Answers.com says: "Although there is not much information about this
at the moment, users and fans suggest that Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7
is currently estimated to come out between 2011 and 2012."

On one of LEGO.com's message boards, LEGO fans and Harry Potter fans
were quick to voice their thoughts on the possibility of a future
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 video game.

One fan said: "YAY! Its been confirmed! It should be coming out
in summer 2011 when the new sets come out!!!"

Another fan said: "I am guessing the videogame is supposed to come out
in the summer of 2012. That would be awesome getting to be harry again!"

A third fan said: "Yes they should, but there is too many deaths and scary stuff."
This may be true, that Harry Potter does deal with a lot of intense situations,
but LEGO does have a way of turning horrific scenes into silly nonsense.

In Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, book one in the series,
Lord Voldemort kills a unicorn to drink its blood, which makes him stronger.
In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, Voldemort tries to sneak up on the unicorn
with a fork in one hand, and a knife in the other, and the unicorn escapes unharmed.

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 WILL probably be released this year,
while there is still much interest in the Harry Potter movie series.

Final Answer: LEGO Harry Potter will probably come out for Winter 2011,
just in time for christmas shopping.

A closer look at the upcoming official Harry Potter encyclopedia

Among the subjects covered will be the method of creating a Horcrux,
the manner in which Peter Pettigrew gave Lord Voldemort a rudimentary body,
and the reasons for Florean Fortescue's murder in the sixth Harry Potter book.

On September 4th, 2009, fellow Harry Potter fansite The Leaky Cauldron
reported that J.K. Rowling, the author of all seven Harry Potter books,
was hard at work on the yet unnamed Harry Potter themed encyclopedia.
They reported: "(J.K. Rowling is) making family trees of all her characters"
    for the encyclopedia

On September 13th, 2009, we heard from a lawyer of Christopher Little,
who handles the publication of all the Harry Potter books in the UK,
saying: "The encyclopedia simply remains something
Ms. Rowling would like to complete sometime in the future."

This is a vauge answer at best, and I think I speak for the Harry Potter fans
as a whole, when I say that a release date, even if it was set for 2015,
would be better then just keeping us in the dark about the whole thing.

But for now, unless new information is revealed,
we are to remain in the dark.

New Harry Potter 8 movie pic leaked online!

This brand-new Harry Potter movie picture from
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
was leaked online just yesterday morning.

The picture, shown to the left, is of
Draco Malfoy, and his two thugs,
who go out of their way in the movie
to try to attack and capture Harry.

The pic was leaked online through the HarryPotterMovie Facebook page,
operated by Time Warner, which controls Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. of course, owns the rights
to the Harry Potter film franchise.

This, by our count, is the second official in-movie snapshot
from the final Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
Enjoy it while it lasts, because Warner Bros. may make an attempt
to remove it from the internet as best as they can.

Universal to expand Harry Potter mini-theme park by 2012?

The Orlando Sentinel and the L.A. Times have both recently posted
interesting editorials concerning the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
20-acre attraction in the Universal Orlando theme park.

They commented on the fact that the agreement that Warner Bros.
and Universal signed stated that the Wizarding World needed to be
modified in some way every 2-3 years.

This means that there MUST be some change of some kind
sometime next year, by or during the summer of 2012.

    The L.A. Times suggests bluntly:
"Convert the Lost Continent market into Diagon Alley,
complete with a Leaky Cauldron restaurant."

What kind of changes would you like to see
happen to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?
Place your comment! We'll read them on our next
episode of PhoenixCast, due out on Saturday!

    Part Two"  was released yesterday,
and we have the pic right here!

You can see it, it's to the left of this text,
and it depicts a certain scene that Harry Potter
    book fans should remember.

We also got this little piece of information on the final game in the series:
" – this will be used for one of our menu backgrounds in the new game."
Well, we'll have to keep an eye out for this menu background!

Harry Potter soon to be released in e-book format?

There has been reports lately that Harry Potter
book author J.K. Rowling is seriously considering
authorizing the Harry Potter books to go into the
    increasingly popular e-book format.

"We are currently actively looking at all the
various options for Harry Potter in this space,
that is, e-books," said a representative from
    the Christopher Little Literary Agency,
the agency responsible for handling the publications
of all seven of the Harry Potter books in England.

The reason J.K. Rowling decided against publishing any of the
Harry Potter books in digital format was the growing issue of piracy.

But perhaps the digital release of Harry Potter as an e-book
would diminish piracy of the Harry Potter books already in existence.

We'll have to see how this plays out.

Harry Potter 7 DVD premire coverage to start shortly!
