HP8 trailer rumored to be released January 24th!

According to a post made by the website
Right Cinema, a brand-new trailer for the
eighth Harry Potter film,
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two"
will premiere either online or in theaters on
January 24th, 2011.

There is currently no confirmation of this, for now.
So until this is proven to be true, consider it a rumor.

However, in the case of some past trailers,
not all the rumors are completely wrong.
Some are just a few weeks or days off the rumored date,

For now, unless this rumor is correct, expect the trailer AT EARLIEST sometime in February.

Blog announcement!

Starting this January,
this blog will be upgrading to a new version,
blog version 3.0, coming with several
all-new blog features.

In preparation for this, things will be changing slightly
as some of the additional site pages currently on our site
may be removed depending on their popularity.

Some of the upcoming features in January may include:
  • An all-new banner behind our blog title
  • The premiere of our upcoming unnamed podcast
  • The online debut of a separate blog for our podcast

Additional features will likely appear unannounced
around early January as well.

We highly reccomend both videos as entertaining, but out of the two videos,
the winner has to be the LEGO Creator: Harry Potter video.

Salvation Army refuses donated Harry Potter products

According to hundreds of news articles that have spread
over the internet during the last two days, the Salvation Army
has announced publicly that they will be turning away any
Harry Potter or Twilight products donated to them.

"The Salvation Army refuses to distribute the Twilight and Harry Potter toys
because of the wizardry, vampire, and werewolf content involved."
said a Salvation Army spokesperson.

"The Salvation Army is based on Christian principles,
and these things are not in line with those principles."
I think it's safe to say that the majority of the Harry Potter fandom,
both Christian or not, disagree with this controversial announcement.

Harry Potter villain actor Ralph Fiennes is interviewed by USA Today online

Just two days ago, Harry Potter actor Ralph Fiennes
was interviewed by USA Today online.

When describing his role as villain Lord Voldemort,
Fiennes says: "He's really sort of the devil.
"He's completely emotionally detached.
He has no empathy. You find that in psychopaths.
Power makes him feel alive.
It's about power with Voldemort.

I think the HP fandom can agree with this
adequate description of Lord Voldemort.

e-mail sent to Traveller's Tales discussing possible LEGO Harry Potter sequel

Earlier Today, we sent an e-mail to Traveller's Tales,
one of the companies responsible for creating the
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 video game.

We decided to ask them:

"Does Traveller's Tales have any current plans to introduce
a sequel to the LEGO Harry Potter video game,
taking into account its high sales?"

Hopefully we should reccieve a response by
the end of the week, but nothing is certain.

New HP7 video game gameplay video now online!

Just found on YouTube by us today, a new gameplay video of the newest Harry Potter
video game, showing some brand-new clips from the official game.

Reviews of the game have also started to appear online as well.
Most were positive and encouraging, and praised the game's
action packed play and excellent visual graphics.

As I have not yet gotten the game, I can offer no review as of now,
but a review of the game by this site can be expected in the near future.

REVIEW: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One!

After seeing the film at its midnight US premiere,
I can now share a brief NON-SPOILER review
of the film.

The film's story seemed to flow better then any of
the previous films of the series, and the keen
attention to even most of the smallest details
was gratifying to both book and movie fans alike.

The acting from the younger actors, I can also say, seems to improve with each new film.

Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One Soundtrack

One day after its release, I can now say I have finished the
soundtrack from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One

The music was, I think, much different then that from previous
Harry Potter movie soundtracks. A much quicker, edgier pace
then any we've seen before.

Being a fan of the music from John Williams,
I naturally perfer his Harry Potter themes,
but Alexandere Desplate comes, in my opinion,
better then any of the composers for Harry Potter films 4-6.

As far as rating the seventh soundtrack as a whole,
I'd happily give it a 8 out of 10, and highly reccomend
the soundtrack to fans of either Harry Potter,
or soundtrack listeners in general.

HP7 soundtrack now in stores!

Starting today, the official soundtrack for the upcoming
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One film.

Now available through most major retailers,
the music can be found online also.

On the itunes online store, it was announced that
the soundtrack comes with exclusive bonus themes,
not including the 20 songs available in either package.

However, I would highly reccomend the itunes offer
over the regular CD.

The itunes offer includes several bonus tracks, a documentary video,
and a lower price compared with most store offers.
The CD retail price is $18, the itunes offer: $14.

New Harry Potter 7 UK game trailer released online!

Just yesterday, a new combined trailer for the official
two Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

EA games has been releasing a steady stream

EA seems to be centering the next two
Harry Potter games around large action-packed
fight scenes, upgrading the fightable enemies,
not unlike the Lord of the Rings video games.

In any case, the newest video is on our main page, underneath our news posts,
viewable in High Quality.

with Harry Potter film actor Tom Felton, who fans of the films
might know better as Draco Malfoy. Let's jump right in!

Tom Felton: Harry and Hermione's awkward dance scene.

Q:  how do you feel now that Harry Potter is over?
Tom: Not over yet. There's lots to look forward to!

New Harry Potter 7 movie clip added to our site!

Just today, two new Harry Potter 7 clips were released
on youtube by account user Clevver TV.

One was a clip of what most fans believe to be
the opening scene in the film, as it depicts what
is clearly the opening scene as stated in the book.

That video is now available at the bottom of our main page.

The second video is a clip of the trio inside their magically expanded camping tent,
and is available for viewing on youtube through this link below, but we do not
recommend it to anyone who does not want to be spoiled in any way.

AMC Entertainment movie theaters offer new, different runtime length for HP7!

According to information provided by amctheatres.com,
a new, different runtime for the seventh Harry Potter film
has surfaced: 150 minutes, exactly two and a half hours long.

From what we heard only a week ago, the film's previous
runtime was estimated just shy of 147 minutes.
A difference of a little over three minutes, overall.
Not much change, some might argue,
but to HP fans, the longer, the better.
A movie description was also available on AMC's website:

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" is a much-anticipated motion picture event to be told in two full-length parts.
The long-feared war has begun and Voldemort's Death Eaters have seized control of the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts,
terrorizing and arresting anyone who might oppose them.
But the one prize they still seek is the one most valuable to Voldemort:
Harry Potter".

"Harry's only hope is to find the Horcruxes before Voldemort finds him.
As he searches for clues, he uncovers the legend of the Deathly Hallows.
And if the legend turns out to be true, it could give Voldemort the ultimate power he seeks.
No longer just a boy, Harry Potter is drawing ever closer to the ultimate battle with Voldemort.
See it in IMAX at select locations."

New Harry Potter 7 movie clip released exclusively on yahoo.com

Released just a few minutes ago, a new clip taken
from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:
Part One was uploaded by yahoo.com,
with us being one of the first fansites
to announce it.

The clip, although only a minute long,
showed what looks to be an impressive,
yet dark, bar fight scene.

Currently under the title of "Cafe Attack",
it depicts a seen vividly described in the book
as an all-out brawl with Harry, Ron, and Hermione
on one side, and two disguised Death Eaters on the other.

The clip can be viewed on Yahoo's Harry Potter 7
movie page, and by double clicking this link:

Harry Potter stars Dan Radcliffe and Emma Watson talk HP7!

In an interview with scholastic.com, Harry Potter stars
Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson had a lengthy
discussion of the final two films, with Sonja C;
a staff of scholastic's online website.

we picked out the most interesting question,
which is slightly edited from its original format:

Q: Describe Harry's emotional journey in this film,

Daniel: Dumbledore leaves Harry this mission
and almost no information apart from three rather
cryptic bequests in his will to Harry, Ron, and Hermione,
none of which make no sense at the time, but gradually
as the films carry on, make more and more sense.
